Profile Pictures

Overview

Box Planner introduced profile picture functionality for users who connect their accounts to Facebook. Users who registered through Facebook login automatically display their Facebook profile images. Those with existing accounts can link them by visiting Personal Settings and selecting "Associate Facebook."

Key Features

The implementation enables profile images to appear in multiple locations within the platform, including user scores and upcoming features. The developers state: "we have only implemented to show the profile pictures from facebook. (This way we did not need to implement our own upload and no storage of fotos needs to be payed)"

Future Development

The team plans to add direct photo upload functionality directly within Box Planner in subsequent updates, eliminating the Facebook dependency requirement.

User Control

Users concerned about privacy can associate their Facebook account while disabling Facebook posting in settings. Accounts can be disassociated if desired, allowing flexible privacy management.
