SEPA Handling

Overview

Box Planner introduced its initial SEPA handling capability in this release. The feature enables box owners to establish predefined values for member SEPA mandates, laying groundwork for future automated payment processing.

Box Settings Configuration

A new tab within Box Settings allows administrators to configure essential SEPA parameters. Owners can specify:

  • Creditor Identification numbers
  • Mandate Identification Templates
  • Descriptions for member SEPA mandates
  • Bank account details
  • Default remittance text

Member Mandate Setup

Members and owners can establish mandates through the Contracts & Payments section. The system displays mandate validity dates immediately after creation. As stated in the article: "The member SEPA document includes all necessary information to handle automatic payments."

Prefilled Information

Once box configuration is complete, users benefit from automatically populated fields when initiating new SEPA mandates. Address information transfers from user profiles, streamlining the data entry process.

Future Enhancement Plans

This release represents preparation for upcoming premium features: full automatic SEPA payments (processed through payment providers) and semi-automatic SEPA payments (via XML downloads for banking software integration).
